More Water Park fun...

The waterpark has been so fun this year. It has been wonderful to spend with the kids there. Fun memories I will cherish forever. Most of the time we see friends there and even get to meet new friends. Personally, I really think all of our favorite part is heading over to Sonic afterwards and getting a yummy Strawberry Limeade and Root beer floats!!

CSU Baseball Camp

This year since Andrew has been so interested in baseball, we decided to send him for a week to the university around us for baseball camp. He thoroughly enjoyed it. It was for one week for 7 hrs/day. He was able to work on all the fundamentals of baseball and really strive to improve his game. We actually were even invited to a scrimmage game they were having. It was fun seeing all the boys out there playing. What a truly great past-time America has!!

Beach time with the Meyer's

As you all are well aware of by now, we LOVE the beach. Everything about the beach excites us. From the sand squishing between your toes (even though lately we have barely felt the sand between our toes because we are running to not get our tootsies burnt - lol), to the smell of the ocean, to exploring and finding new treasures. The beach is and always will be a very important part of our family times together. June 27th we had the privilege of going with our friends, The Meyer's. What a wonderful, sweet couple they are and it has been a joy getting to know them better and the best part - they have a little girl Regen who is Kira's age and a young boy, Nathaniel who is a few years older than Andrew but plays with him so kindly and is a wonderful role model for Andrew. Together they have so much fun! We, as parents, also enjoy the great conversations that come about between us. How wonderful to have Christian friends encouraging you in your spiritual walk and in life in general. And to top it all off, have the same interests and values that you have! From Jim enjoying jiu jitsu and training with Dave to DeAnna being a teacher at the kids school and sharing in the same concerns that I have as a wife, parent, and woman. What a blessing it was to spend the day with them -- we look forward to so many more!! You can see from the pictures, we had so much fun just exploring the beauty of God's creation and all that was around us, and of course, had some fun playing and goofing off too :)

Andrew..... Lego style :)

I am always intrigued and amazed at Andrew's artistic and inventive ability. For me, drawing a stick figure is really hard so you can imagine my delight and fascination at this little guy that can create and draw things beyond what I could ever have thought. Yes, for some the pictures that are in this posting might be silly but to me, they are a joy and wonder over my son and the talent God has given him. There are so many more things I would love to get scanned and post on here - those truly fascinate me even more than this little project that he created :) I pray that Andrew will utilize the talents that God gave him for His glory! Thank you Jesus for the joy of motherhood and the refreshing newness you give us to see our children through rose-colored glasses (even if it's just for a moment).
